They seem to have lots of energy to give to others, but when it comes to taking care of their own needs, they cover their eyes and pretend they can get away with neglecting themselves just a little longer.
Even though they’re excelling at work or school, they’re still daunted by how they’re not doing enough. The praise they’re getting makes them feel like a fraud.
They believe that all of their achievements are what make them valuable, yet the more they accomplish, the more they raise the bar for themselves. They thought getting their last degree or scoring their latest promotion would finally make them feel good enough, but they still feel empty.
